Unanswered Questions of BasketBall Wives (Re Cap)

Last night, I indulged in my weekly guilty pleasure better known as “Basketball Wives”. Although this episode wasn’t filled with as many fights, throwing of drinks or drama as last week’s episode, there were still a bunch of WTF moments throughout the show.

Between Meeka deciding not to return for the rest of the season after Tami laid the smack down on her during last week’s episode; Royce meeting with Jennifer’s ex-husband Eric to discuss his new “movie”; Suzie having diarrhea of the mouth AGAIN and starting drama between Jenn and Royce over the movie; Eveyln’s daughter graduating from high school (in which she looked gorgeous by the way); Chad Ochocinco’s surprise visit; Jennifer inviting her date to her “divorce party” and the meeting between Jennifer and Royce that never went down, I was thoroughly glued to my television set and Twitter page to see it all go down in real time.

It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t have a bunch “side eye” moments from this week’s episode, so I’ve decided to list them here. Maybe you can provide me with a logical explanation!

1. Did anyone notice that Chad Ochocinco didn’t know that Evelyn was engaged to be married twice before dating him? I mean, if you’re dating someone for about a year and plan to marry them, shouldn’t that come up in a conversation at least once? That’s a pretty big deal, don’t you think? On a lighter note, he’s pretty accepting of her past and seems to be a good boyfriend to Evelyn, and I thought their date on the beach was super cute!

2. Why did Suzie feel the need to inform Jennifer that Royce wanted to meet up with her to discuss the situation with Eric before Royce had the chance to approach Jennifer herself? We all know that Suzie has THEE hugest mouth on the planet, but come on, was that necessary to talk about?

3. Why is Eric targeting all of Jennifer’s “friends” to be apart of his movie? And furthermore, why is he doing a movie in the first place? And what is this movie even about?

4. Why did Jennifer and Royce agree to meet up in the first place if Jennifer was just going to show up to tell Suzie that she didn’t have anything to say to Royce and leave before she got there?

5. At what point did Royce decide she wanted to be an actress? All this time I thought her dream was to be a dancer?

6. Was anyone else uncomfortable by that EXTREME public display of affection between Ev and Chad? I’m all for couples in love and showing affection but licking each other in public is just too much.

With that being said, I loved this week’s episode of “Basketball Wives” including all the drama, WTF moments and buffoonery.

Tawanna Iverson re-files for divorce from Allen Iverson...

The wife of former NBA star Allen Iverson has re-filed for divorce, an attorney told the AJC.

Tawanna Iverson initially filed for divorce March 2, 2010, in Fulton County Superior Court, citing that her marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The announcement came a week after Allen Iverson announced he was leaving the Philadelphia 76ers for the rest of the season to be with a sick daughter. The couple has five children.

That divorce petition was later dropped, Allen Iverson's attorney, Jonathan Levine, told the AJC Wednesday afternoon. But on Monday, Tawanna Iverson re-filed for divorce, said Levine, who declined to discuss the specifics regarding the initial filing.

Tawanna Iverson's attorney, John Mayoue, was unavailable for comment.

Comedian Kevin Hart, who has appeared in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Little Fockers and Scary Movie 3, has recently filed for divorce from his wife of eight years Torrei Hart.

According to the legal doc Kevin cites irreconcilable differences for the split, and is seeking joint custody of their two children 5 year old daughter, Heavenly, & 3 year old son Hendrick.

Kevin is also asking the court NOT to give any spousal support to his soon to be ex wife Torrei, as well as asking that she NOT be allowed to leave the state of California with their children without his permission or a court order.

A former employee of R&B singer R. Kelly filed a federal lawsuit against the musician and his production company Thursday, claiming tour employees were not adequately compensated for overtime hours they worked.

Anthony Navarro claims in the lawsuit that he and other “runners” hired by Kelly’s Bass Productions, Ltd. worked more than 40 hours per week assisting with a large-scale concert tour and studio operations, but were paid straight time instead of time-and-a-half overtime wages.

Navarro, of Atlanta, Ga., claims in the suit he sometimes worked more than 80 hours per week during several work periods in 2007.

Robert Kelly, known by his stage name “R. Kelly” has authority over payroll accounts and employee compensation, according to the suit.

The two count suit claims violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, and seeks compensatory damages for overtime hours worked plus the costs of the suit.

In a recent interview with UK newspaper the Telegraph, controversial singer Erykah Badu said she understands why men cheat, and that infidelity is "not a deal-breaker" for her, in a relationship.

"We're all born sexual beings," Badu told the magazine. "I myself am not someone with a very high libido. I don't require sex for happiness – I need companionship. I need a partner I can depend on, that I can love and grow with. But I do understand the nature of these men I've been with, and men in general. They have a need to chase."

Incarcerated Lil' Boosie May Face Murder Charges

Louisiana rapper Lil' Boosie, who is currently serving a four-year sentence for drug and gun possession, just received some bad news. The 26-year-old is allegedly set to face murder charges over a $30,000 hit he put out on Louisiana emcee Nussie, who was murdered in February 2009.

Nussie, born Chris Lynell Jackson, was murdered with a gunshot to the head, with Boosie suspected as one of the primary suspects in the incident. But Baton Rouge's Michael Louding was originally charged with the slaying as well as four other murders, facing five counts of first degree murder, one count of second degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder.

Boosie, who began serving his prison sentence in September '09, was originally nabbed after he was pulled over and arrested for possessing marijuana and a gun, quickly sentenced to two years in prison. But after Louisiana Judge James Moore discovered that Boosie had violated probation while awaiting his sentencing, he doubled his prison term.

If found guilty for the murder of Jackson, Boosie will most likely face the death penalty. Boosie's most recent release, 'Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz,' hit retail on September 15, 2009, debuting at Number 7 on the Billboard 200 in its first week and selling more than 100,000 copies to date.

Back in September Boosie was sentenced to serve 2 years on a 10 year suspended sentence after being convicted on third offense marijuana possession charges. In between the time of his sentencing in September and his appearance in court yesterday, he'd been arrested on gun charges and his ankle bracelet recorded several violations to the terms of his supervised probation. So the judge sentenced Boosie to 4 years and he was taken to jail immediately.

Katt Williams Accused of holding 17 year old against his will

The dude put up a fight until Jaime overpowered him, slammed the door and the guy fled. 9 days after the alleged incident Jamie's private security spotted the guy blocks away from the hotel and contacted police. He was arrested for burglary, criminal threats, stalking, false imprisonment and harassment.

The rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested in July 2007 after a concert at New York's Beacon Theatre when a police officer said she boarded the bus because she smelled marijuana, and then saw the star attempt to hide a gun. Wayne pleaded not guilty and was freed on $70,000 bail, with his lawyers arguing the officer falsely claimed to smell the drug so she could board the bus. New York State Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon on Tuesday (24Feb09) ordered jury selection to begin immediately following the rapper's U.S. tour, which completes on 12 April (09). Weezy F, 26, will face one count of criminal weapons possession and one charge of criminal possession of a loaded weapon when his trial begins on 20 April (09). According to a spokeswoman at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, he will face a maximum prison sentence of 15 years if convicted.
